We offer 2- or 4-night outdoor activity courses in the Lake District. Enjoy exclusive access within a safe and inclusive environment. We offer bespoke, cross-curricular programs led by expert instructors. A fun, educational adventure in a natural setting.
SEN / Adaptive
Ghyll Head is fully accessible and inclusive, offering great experiences for all. We’re affiliated with Adventure For All, listed on Euan’s Guide, and approved for Manchester SEND families. Expert staff and facilities ensure everyone can take part.
Youth & Community Groups
Ghyll Head is a fantastic venue for youth groups. We also regularly welcome faith groups and other community organisations. We can offer a full programme of outdoor adventure activities during your stay, or you can choose the accommodation-only option - either fully catered or self-catered it’s up to you.
Corporate
We work with adult groups using creative and challenging activities to support group development. Working together you will learn new skills, challenge behaviours, build friendships and explore alternative approaches. Informal and more formal classroom spaces are available, allowing you to make the most of your time with us between fun activities on land or lake.
Friends & Family Visits
Our new self-catered PODs sleep up to 5, with two pet-friendly options – perfect for a family break. Join our family courses during school holidays and stay in the Main House, Bungalow, or Bunkhouse. Planning a special occasion or group getaway? All facilities are available for sole occupancy – ideal for friends or family time.
Specialist Skills Courses
We offer a range of National Governing Body courses including Mountain Leader, Hill & Mountain Skills, RYA Sailing, Wingsurfing, Wingfoiling, Powerboating, and BC Local Cave Leader (Levels 1 & 2). We also provide CPD courses for teachers and youth leaders looking to enhance their DofE provision. Our expert team is here to help you grow – whether you’re aiming to lead others or build your own confidence and skills.

While Ghyll Head offers an immersive residential experience in the stunning Lake District, Debdale provides accessible, day-based outdoor activities right in the heart of Manchester. Together, we ensure that people of all ages and abilities can enjoy a seamless journey of adventure, skill development, and personal growth—whether exploring the rugged landscapes of Cumbria or engaging in exciting water and land-based activities closer to home.
Debdale offers an exciting range of activities which include dinghy sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking, rafted canoeing, powerboating, cycling, orienteering and team-building activities.....You can even learn to sail, surf, powerboat or paddle!
